Plain terms covering this website and project enquiries. Work itself is governed by the written scope agreed for each engagement.
These are baseline website terms written for clarity rather than as a substitute for legal advice. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer for any specific jurisdiction. See also our Privacy and Data Practices pages.
Who these terms are between
These terms apply to your use of this website, operated by Prospectal ("we", "us"). By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
They cover the website itself. They are not the agreement for a project — see “Projects are governed by their own agreement” below.
Using this site
You may read, print and share the pages of this site for your own business purposes. You may not copy the site wholesale, republish its content as your own, scrape it at scale, or use it to build a competing service.
We may change, move or remove any part of the site at any time. We try to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability.
Project enquiries
Submitting the Start a Project form, or emailing us, starts a conversation. It does not create a contract, reserve capacity, or commit either side to anything.
Please do not send confidential material, personal data belonging to other people, or credentials through the enquiry form. If a project needs that material, we will agree how to exchange it securely first.
We may decline an enquiry. We do not have to give a reason.
What the service pages describe
The service, industry, resource and engagement pages on this site describe the kind of work we do and how we approach it. They are written to be accurate, but they are descriptions, not offers, specifications or guarantees of a particular result.
Case study pages describe projects we have delivered. A client is named, and a client review shown, only where that client has reviewed the page and agreed to it. Where no such agreement is in place, the page carries no client identity and no quote.
Where this site refers to a quality target — for example a hard-bounce target on eligible Verified-status records — that target is stated with its conditions and applies only as set out in a signed project scope.
Projects are governed by their own agreement
Every engagement is defined in its own written scope: what is delivered, the fields, volumes and formats, timing, price, verification standard, revision and remedy terms, confidentiality, and how data is handled and returned or deleted.
Where anything on this website conflicts with a signed project agreement, the project agreement takes precedence.
Intellectual property
The content, design, wording and marks on this site belong to Prospectal or are used with permission. Third-party names and logos referred to on this site remain the property of their owners and are used descriptively only.
Ownership of work produced during an engagement — datasets, workflows, documentation — is set out in that project’s agreement, not here.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site or anything obtained through it to send unlawful communications, to harass anyone, to breach applicable marketing, privacy or data-protection law in your jurisdiction or your recipients’, or to attempt to compromise the site or the systems behind it.
You are responsible for how you use data we deliver, including obtaining any consent or lawful basis your own outreach requires and honouring opt-outs and suppression requests.
Third-party services and links
This site relies on third-party providers for hosting, form handling, email delivery and — where configured — analytics. What they receive is described on our Privacy page.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
Limits
The website and its content are provided as they are. We do not promise that the information on it is complete, current or fit for a particular purpose, and you should not treat it as legal, compliance or professional advice.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Liability arising from an engagement is dealt with in that project’s agreement.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site or the business changes. The version published here is the version that applies. Material changes will be reflected in the date below.
